KMC Development Group Dec 2021
We are looking at which activities we will deliver in 2022 and we’d love to have your input.
It’s really important that students and the wider community have a say in how the recovery college is run and work with us to identify the activities which are needed by our communities.
Thank you to all who came along to our Development Group meeting last week (Dece 2021), it was lovely to see everyone.
Some of the topics we discussed –
- Venues – all agreed that it was vital to deliver activities all over South Tyneside, not just in one place so that people don’t have to travel. It’s also important that we activities are rotated around venues so that everyone gets a chance to attend.
- Some courses fill up quickly so where possible we will try and deliver them as many times as possible.
- Promoting KMC – some people hadn’t been aware of who we are or what we do until recently. We need to raise our profile.
- Ideas for activities – DIY, gardening, arts and crafts (and other creative stuff), cooking on a budget, support for specific conditions such as EUPD, managing distress and crisis management, more support for carers.
If you would like to get involved in our quarterly meetings with ideas or feedback, please get in touch with Angie or Fran on 0191 217 2935 or you can email kindmindcommunity@mentalhealthconcern.org
