The flyer has a muted blue background and shows an illustration of a woman walking a dog. Text reads: “Learn to understand and manage depression with Taming the Black Dog.
This supportive 6-week course offers a gentle, practical introduction to depression—what it is, common symptoms, and what can cause it. Together, we’ll explore helpful coping skills, unhelpful thinking styles, and ways to build understanding and self-compassion along the way. Taming the Black Dog is about gaining knowledge, confidence, and tools to help you take steps forward at your own pace.” The course starts Friday 9th January, 2:00pm - 3:30 pm at Action Station, Boldon Lane, South Shields, NE34 0LZ.
